In January of 2009, two worlds collided. With encouragement and support from their husbands, Belinda Baptiste and Marquita Irving set out on a great big adventure and opened up “Unforgettable Bakery & Deli”…and Savannahians are taking note. Formerly, “Sophisticated Palate”, this bakery is fast becoming one of Savannah’s BEST providers of wedding cakes and catering services. Oh…and let’s not forget about Miley Cyrus! While her crew was shooting Miley’s recent film in Tybee Island, “Unforgettable Bakery & Deli” was chosen above all others to bake and deliver a new cake EVERY week while shooting was underway…they just couldn’t get enough!

About the name:

Belinda and Marquita were initially undecided on what to call the bakery so they left it up to their customers. One day, a customer came in and said, “I don’t know what else to say about your bakery except that it’s simply…UNFORGETTABLE”. As Belinda states, “What else can I say”…the rest is history.

About the Bakery:

“Unforgettable Bakery & Deli” makes custom cakes for many “special” events, but the best showing of their combined talents lies with their wedding cake creations. Marquita proudly says that, “It’s our love and our passion that separates us from all others. We treat everyone with respect and above all else, we cater to THEIR needs…not our own”. When it comes to catering, they truly believe that there is no alternative to providing “healthy and delicious meals” with only the finest ingredients. They are committed to using fresh organic herbs and beans, homemade spices, extra virgin olive oil and canola oil…no exceptions.
